Construction of the park to honor veteran Richmond Mayor Hilmar Moore began last
week, and engraved cobblestone pavers that will be placed at the
park are available for purchase.
Historic Richmond Association (HRA) is constructing the park in
recognition of Moore’s distinction of having served longer than any
other mayor in the country.
Pavers may be purchased by anyone — individuals, groups, clubs,
businesses — who wishes to pay tribute to Moore’s six decades of
service to the city.
Cost for a 4-inch by 8-inch paver with two lines of engraving is
$125; an 8-inch by 8-inch paver with up to five lines of engraving
is $500. Company logos are only available on the larger pavers.
